  • How do I send my master for duplication?

  • You can either send your master to us in the post or upload the files to us via our WeTransfer link you will receive from us when you place the order.

    Your duplicates follow your master:
    • MP3 CD master = MP3 CD duplicates
    • Data CD master = Data CD duplicates
    • Audio CD master = Audio CD duplicates
    • Data DVD master = Data DVD duplicates
    • DVD Video master = DVD Video duplicates
    • Software DVD master = Software DVD duplicates
E.g. If you want CDs that play in domestic CD players you must send an Audio CD
If you wand DVDs that play in domestic DVD players you must send a DVD Video

If there is an error on your master - there will be an error on your duplicates.

We strongly advise all clients to avoid using applications which use the built in disc burning utilities of your operating system. These include Windows Media Player. These products do not always create a suitable master and we cannot guarantee the compatibility of your duplicated discs.
Dedicated disc burning software should always be used such as Nero or Roxio.
Both Companies offer evaluation trials and FREE light versions of their software for personal use which can be found through internet searches.

We do extensive checking to ensure your duplicates are 1:1 replicas of your master. However, we cannot amend or edit your master in any way.
  • Do I Have To Send A Master Disc To You In The Post or Can I Upload the Master Content?

  • A physical master has to exist for the Duplication process to work. If you send this in the post, there is no charge relating to mastering.
If you want us to create the master from your files that you send electronically there is currently no charge for this.
  • What is the quality of your discs, cases, printing, and general service?

  • We use high quality professional grade AAA rated CD/DVD & Blu-Ray discs for all duplication jobs. For printing we use a high resolution state of the art RICOH digital press. Printed parts use the highest quality paper and highest weight in the industry – see tool tips on the price calculator for specific paper weights of our paper parts.

For details of our service quality, please see the CD or DVD buyers guide.
  • How do I set up an account?

  • Companies and Organisations pay for your first order on order by credit/debit card, BACS or cheque. We then automatically set up an account for your subsequent orders. There are no forms to fill in. You then specify you are a "returning customer" for further orders.

Government / NHS / Schools / Universities can choose "returning customer" as accounts are already set up for you. Please quote your internal Purchase Order Number for us to quote on your invoice.

Accounts are only available for companies or organisations.
  • How can I design my artwork if I do not have software or a professional design?

  • You can use our simple online tool which requires no experience and no software installation. It allows you to create artwork simply an quickly just by visiting http://artworkcreator.duplicationcentre.co.uk.
  • Will my duplicated discs work in all players

  • Please note that duplicated media may not play in older players. Older CD and DVD players used to have difficulty playing CD-R and DVD-R discs. This was due to their lasers not being designed with these discs in mind. However this is a diminishing problem as these players become less common.
  • What is the difference between Duplication and Replication?

  • Duplication and Replication are two methods of copying your CD, DVD, or Blu-ray discs. Duplication is done using a duplication machine and recordable discs. It is suitable for small jobs (up to approximately 1000 copies) as it has lower setup costs. Replication is done using a Glass Master which stamps the data onto the CD. It has higher setup costs and turnaround time is longer, however this method has cost benefits when many copies are required (usually over 500 discs). There is an area of overlap where both Duplication and Replication can be used, typically when copying between 500 and 1000 discs. The decision to use one or the other method at these quantities will be driven not by price, but by secondary advantages/disadvantages of each method, which is usually the turnaround time.

In summary, Duplication has fast turnaround time, and is suitable for upto 1000 disc copies. Replication has slower turnaround times, and is suitable for at least 500 copies.

Here at Duplication Centre we provide Duplication services. For Replication service and an instant online quote please see our sister company Replication Centre Ltd.
  • Are returns accepted?

  • Returns are accepted if there is a fault with the product or print. However, as each product is customised and cannot be resold, we are unable to accept returns if you change your mind or no fault is present.
